Lac qui Parle Mission
This annual event is attended by descendants of early Christian Dakota, descendants of missionaries and other interested people. Service at 10:30 am led by a Dakota pastor and Dakota Choir. Potluck at noon, program at 1 pm presented by Louie Garcia from Bdecan Presbyterian Church. He will show and talk about Dakota bows and arrows, shields and clothing and will sing pow-wow songs and explain why it was difficult for missionaries to teach Dakota how to sing hymns.
