This hour-long film is about Ohiyesa – Charles Eastman – the famous author, medical doctor, and activist as seen through the eyes of Kate Beane, a descendant of Rev. John Eastman, a brother of Ohiyesa. There are some amazing parallels between the lives of Ohiyesa and Kate. Syd and Kate are descendants of Chief Cloudman and Rev. John Eastman, a prominent Dakota pastor among his people and mentor to his brother Ohiyesa, Charles Eastman. Syd Beane will introduce the film and will take questions after the showing.
