Mary Bakeman, long-time researcher of Minnesota family history, will explore the records set aside by the 1830 Treaty of Prairie du Chien. She will look at the background of the treaty, scrip vs. patents, and follow the trail the records left. Mary is the owner of Park Genealogical Books, editor of the Minnesota Genealogical Journal and Minnesota’s Heritage: Back to the Sources.
